www.newdarkroom.com

I uploaded a dozen or so images a few weeks back to see if there was any interest. Not a tickle so far.

Snap, I got an email from them asking me to sign up, I presumed it had been sent via somebody here!

Hi, the email I got came through a different account than the one I use for this forum, for me it must have come through from somewhere else. I signed up, and noticed some of patricks images there but haven't uploaded, and I think I will wait a bit and see what happens before I do.

Hi,

I joined them in november 2006. I've been uploading on a regular basis, the same pictures the other sites also got. I still need to upload all of my pictures prior to november 2006, but to be honest, i'm waiting with that, also to see how the site is going to do.
Haven't got a sale yet, the lack of them is imo because prices are very high compared to other sites. Recently they announced they are going to implement for web based images prices starting at 9.99 dollar. Maybe this will get sales starting. As i do with every site i sign up with, i'm giving them a year to generate sales, if not, sorry... i leave.

Below a link to my portfolio over there :

Regards,

Patrick.

I am keeping with them mainly because the times are changing once again. I feel we need other sites other than the 3 main. I have worked with many companies that purchase stock photography and every company has some type of complaint about each stock site. Some don't like istock because it has become to massive. Dreamstime is too confusing with their purchasing.....each person has the like and dislikes. Me personally i upload to them all. I have had sales at every site. The best part is that i sold 3 images through newdarkroom that i had on other sites. I had two sales through dreamstime that got me about 2 dollars. I had those same images on newdarkroom with 3 sales that got me over 30. Now i think this alone is a good reason why i waste my time. Don't put any of the stock agencies out. Each one has different buyers use all that you can! yeah you might make less at others especially the new guy, but give them time to grow to build there library and client base.
