You can do a whois:
http://whois.domaintools.com/imagecatalog.com
Apparently it is another starting site since their main domain says "coming soon". The domain is registered 5 years ago, but they might have bought it from somebody else on a domain auction.
They seems to be serious because they are on a dedicated server.
There is no info on Google about "Image Catalog Media", so they are brand new.
According to the Alexa traffic ratings, they are not in the Top-100,000. DT is on 1,558 (going up since October), SS on 1,682 (going up since October), IS on 256 (going up since October), Featurepics on 31,365 (going down a bit), Newdarkroom is not in the Top-100,000.
Clearly it's a brand new site.
"During our pre-launch period, any new photographers that sign up and upload images will earn a lifetime 40% commission on the sale of their images."
It is not clear whether the 40% concerns images uploaded in the pre-launch period, or
all images uploaded later too.
And well, they don't support FTP, and they don't extract IPTC. That means you will have to upload your images one by one and cut and paste all meta-info in it. That settles the question for now ;-)
