brand new site, I haven't uploaded yet will start this weekend. They don't have ftp or itpc right now, but this is from their website, so maybe it would be worth upping a few.

During our pre-launch period, any new photographers that sign up and upload images will earn a lifetime 40% commission on the sale of their images. This is to show our appreciation to all the contributors who are helping us our build our database of photos.

I am getting very cynical/sceptical as I get older. This company do not have any easily visible way of finding out where they are to contact them (it is in the T&C) and if they are going to be holding money that belongs to me it would be nice to have more openness?

I have found an email and phone number for them but not on the site, for which the domain was created in 2001 and last updated August 2006

Wonder if the 40% is for images uploaded now or all images uploaded by photographers who join early ? Otherwise 25% is not enough unless they are going to be like SS

What do others think?

Apparently it is another starting site since their main domain says "coming soon". The domain is registered 5 years ago, but they might have bought it from somebody else on a domain auction.
They seems to be serious because they are on a dedicated server.

There is no info on Google about "Image Catalog Media", so they are brand new.
According to the Alexa traffic ratings, they are not in the Top-100,000. DT is on 1,558 (going up since October), SS on 1,682 (going up since October), IS on 256 (going up since October), Featurepics on 31,365 (going down a bit), Newdarkroom is not in the Top-100,000.

Clearly it's a brand new site.

It is not clear whether the 40% concerns images uploaded in the pre-launch period, or all images uploaded later too.

And well, they don't support FTP, and they don't extract IPTC. That means you will have to upload your images one by one and cut and paste all meta-info in it. That settles the question for now ;-)

Well, thanks for the link...
I'm kind of lost as to just WHERE to sign up...
Perhaps, I simply need to submit, first?

I shall continue to look....

Yours,
Ginae!

Snokid - are you associated with them in any way? At first I thought you were just hoping for referal earnings but referals are only for buyers.

What is your motivation in promoting a site where the homepage isn't even up and running!

Well my motovation is just to help other submitters to have an another outlet to market to.

Nope have nothing to do with them. But it does look like it could be a good site in the future.

Not sure what you are talking about with the homepage it works for me.

The site seems live now and reads IPTC data. Has anyone started uploading to them?

I've joined, having problems with the multiple upload and having to do it one by one.
Has anyone noticed the similarity with DT?
