Fantastic, Morch! If the best of us back them I'm sure the sales will pick up. I especially like the live tracking of sales and funds raised.
Trust me people, once you've seen it, you'll also be inspired to participate. If the noble cause and generous commission isn't enough to peak your interest I'm yet to come across any stock sites whose format presents your photos as professionally.

Unfortunately, they only send payouts by paypal - that's not happening for me, but I had some correspondence with them. I can't really afford to donate all my images, but I asked if they would accept a couple every month and have my earnings go towards one of the charities. They said yes, so I posted a couple. Seems like a very nice group too.

They did say that perhaps in future payment options will change as they grow, and that I change my choice at any time.

I'm very happing to support the charities, but my portion of the earnings will go to the children's charity - at least for now

that's wonderful news, Gracey! thanks for getting behind them - the site's member base has doubled in just a few days, which I'm sure is at least partly due to the exposure here and on the other 2 forums I've posted on. Thanks to all who signed up..
That's very generous of you to donate a few images to begin with - they surely would appreciate any uploads at all right now. I'm trying to be selective with what i put up there because of the bigger price tag. I don't want to develop a bad name for myself by selling images off cheap to capitalists and charging more than 10 times the price for the same product on such a site all while claiming to be ethical myself.. it seems a bit two-faced of me but until I can afford to take them off other sites I'm happy to help them build a comprehensive image library.

While I find their philosophy admirable, their software stinks. I've personally crashed their server twice while uploading (duh, one at a time, sloooowwwly, then typing I AGREE to every upload). They ignore your EXIF.
Then one day I uploaded two and only one seemed to arrive. At first they replied to my emails trying to outline the problems as I perceived them, then they stopped replying. I've deleted my pics from there. Dud.

I've never had a problem uploading. Yes it's slow being one at a time but it's not a big deal for the kind of site it is. I don't see them ever being really big but I'll do my part.

I want to be selective given the nature of the site and would really like to do a series that reflects the spirit of charity. Unfortunately I lack the time and the skills.

Perhaps we could set up a photo day (or weekend) where all of us try to get one really stellar shot that we can upload to BWB. It would be interesting to see what we come up with.

Sounds like a great idea...I'd be willing. I've been in on some collaborative efforts before
