I only joined a while back at the urging of Laurin Rinder and haven't uploaded much to them. They are very particular about what they select, though I've only had one rejected I've been picky about what I uploaded.

I haven't had any sales yet, but my stuff has only gotten on site this week, so I guess I'll see

It would great if sales were good there, I like the payout rates!

Ive only got 7 images there at the minute, and haven't sold one yet... They have been there three weeks. I think I will upload occasionally and when/if I get a sale I will upload more.

I've got 100 images on totallyphotos and have made 1 sale. Once they've build up a big enough image library images should start to sell.

Default totally photos

Oh, I just found this site! Hurray.
I've been with totallyphotos for a while now - several months. I've sold a few shots too. I like it there. I decided to go exclusively with them for a while until I see if they pan out. Almost all the images I sold were at their highest resolution - so I know they are making sales. I think its must be a bit tough when a company starts out to carve out their niche, but they seem to be doing better all the time.

Nice to see some other TPhotos people around.

Default Interesting debate going on

There's an interesting debate going on in the forum at TotallyPhotos, between the approvers, which I am one of (anybody who has 10 or more photos online gets the privilege of approving... which could be bad or good, I personally think its awesome).

We are discussing quality versus quantity... one of the approvers started a thread stating that we are all being too hard on the photos and rejecting for silly reasons such as noise. She states that TP needs to build a portfolio so we should "let some stuff slip through," which I believe is crazy given that the images sell for $10-$20 each. There are a few photographers who are just using TP as their dumpster for snapshots and of course the approvers have to reject those... I am amazed at how many people are getting into microstock thinking they are technically proficient because they can turn on their new little point-and-shoot 8 MP camera.

Zero, are you getting in on this? We need opinions!

I have a very small portfolio at Totally Photos, but certainly more than 10. When I have the time to upload there I upload my best only, and my best quality.

The last time I looked they didn't have forums...guess I need to go back and look again.

I can't seem to make up my mind about their concept of user based approvers. On one hand it's a great way to review a large amount of images in the shortest amount of time, and as a reviewer you can learn a lot from other photographers. On the other, there is going to be a large amount of inconsistency in the content and quality of their approvals. I wonder if there's a way each image could be looked at by multiple reviewers, and approved or denied based on multiple responses? "One and Done" seems a bit harsh when you have no idea who is actually looking at your images.
