That's a good question. I have seen some "macro" stock video sites but of course again, it'll be macro versus micro with footage! I think the other micro sites are going to catch onto this whenever they can invest in the infrastructure to handle it!

Anybody else know?

I just joined Pond5 which is new and looks pretty good. My videos are still pending there but it has only been 2 days over the Easter break but others are reporting sales better than the two mentioned despite the fact it's officially still in beta mode.

Anyway have a look for yourself.

PS my referral code is in the link.

Thanks for the hint, I just used your link to register - if they are better than the other two, I hope I can bring you (and me:P ) some bucks.

I think Pond 5 is based out of Oregon. I havn't heard anything bad about them but I can't remember if their pay structure and arthur's rights were handled correctly...I mean that you submit and they kept the rights to it...

Another one was called, "The Window Channel" and they acted like they would become something big!!! It just didn't feel right, allthough this site would pay out like $200 for your hd (hdv format) and more for HD format. I believe they kept the rights to your clip.

Looks fair enough to me? Maybe someone else reads better than I do. 50%

Here are the two clauses that I think are what you were asking about.

By submitting video, motion picture footage, photographs and/or other visual works ("Audio-Visual Content") to Pond5, you are offering Pond5 a perpetual, world-wide, non-exclusive license to the Audio-Visual Content pursuant to the terms of this Agreement. If Pond5 accepts your offer, Pond5 will obtain a non-exclusive license to your Audio-Visual Content, but you will retain full ownership in your Audio-Visual Content.

There is an exit clause.

You may terminate the license granted hereunder in connection with any Audio-Visual Content upon no less than fifteen (15) days notice to Pond5 of your intent to terminate. Upon the effective date of such termination, Pond5 will cease offering the Terminated Audio-Visual Content to sub-licensees. Pond5 may continue to utilize the terminated Audio-Visual Content for purposes of advertising, marketing and promoting the Site, including but not limited to use of the Audio-Visual Content and derivative works thereof on the Site, for a period of six (6) months from the effective date of such termination.
