Default How is your sales at BIG STock Photo

Hi all, was jus wondering how is all contributors in Big Stock Photos doing. Do u guys have daily sales from there?

It has been very slow for me at BSP, given the same images I have got on SS or IS, they are moving like hot cakes.

hi Bart, Welcome to the forums!

Big stock is on a go slow for me too, Actually it has never been a good site for me.

SS is my best and IS and Dreamstime are close second. Followed by Fotolia.

Hi Bart,
BSP is actually my most active site... I usually see sales everyday... and I only have a little over 500 photos there.... it's always been the most active for me.....

BSP is the first site I've accepted about 250 images to - and thay are (IMHO) the easiest to get approvals. Very easygoing. Their sales, tho - I usually only sell 1-3 image per day, some days nothing. I've made more in the last 3 days on dreamstime, with 20-50 images, than i have in a month on BSP. Maybe it's slow, I don't know. All I know it, it's bound to pick up. It has been increasing quickly, so I read on their forums. Quality is key, also. I love BSP still, even if it's not as fast as the other sites.

I find it hard to get a sale there, I have the same 100 images on IS as I have at BS yet I sell 10 times more at IS.

If you're not onboard with BigStock yet, I'd do so now - because it's really come a long way. The layout is clean, simple, and very user-friendly - and the collection of images is very impressive. They very rarely deny my images - whereas the bigger guys, Dreamstime and SS - deny like 25-50% of what I submit. I'm sure BS (hehe BSP I mean) will make their standards more strict, eventually - once they get an even more massive collection.

It's very steady for me, like I said - I just sold 3 images Yesterday (SAt) and 4 more TODAY on a Sunday. Go figure, right? Must be those freelancers I used to be one of those. That sucked. You make a grand one week, and 25 bucks the next. hahaha

That's pretty good, benny! The size of your portfolio matters. I see a huge difference from when I had only 50-100 images, to now - when I'm just a little over 250. If I ever get up to around 500, that's when I'm going to chill, sit on my ass - and collect any income. Try to not STAY so addicted to this crap, it's sucking up waaay too much of my spare time!! LOL I feel like I'm working too much.

Know how I know I've been screwing around with microstock stuff too much? The girlfriend is starting to get jealous of my computer - the other day I got a "why don't you marry your stupid computer" type of comment from her....LOL - sure, that also could be her womanly cycle talking, but that's how I know I need to calm down a little bit. HAHA!

That 10.00 a week thing was a joke playing off your comment that you can make a grand one week and 25 bucks the next.... ops:

It's the sites that have the 100 dollar payout that are slowing me down....

but I'm hoping things will pick up.....

I know what you mean about the comments from the little woman....
They're all the same..... they don't realize that "we're doing this to secure their financial future ! "

Well that's my story and I'm stickin' to it !

Hang in there... I've had 35 years of "bliss".... they say married men live longer.... the truth is... it only seems longer !
