Just Googled "microstock discussion" or something like that. GREAT GREAT site!!! Much more usable meat to it than all the other ones I've seen. The folks here provide much less crying & moaning and much more realistic level-headed intelligent information that has helped me make some valuable & well-informed decisions. Thanks to all!
I'm new to stock although old to photography----went digital just a few months ago, only because of discovering microstock. I have a small portfolio (around 70), I'm on 7 of the big sites, and Shutterstock is by far my best seller and favorite. One thing that still confuses me is that even though I have a 90-100% acceptance rate on all the other sites I submit to, on Dreamstime it's a dismal 60% or so. It's almost never for technical issues, mostly "we have too many of these" even though I purposely submit ones that they don't have very many of. They're accepting all my people shots, so maybe I get assigned the same reviewers each time who don't particularly like my choices of non-people subjects. Whatever. Either way, I'm plunging in feet first and not looking back!! I hope this site really takes off and grows!
