Default Funny rejection reason...

Hi,

We all have our share of rejects at SS.. .they are tough... but today's reject reason is really hilarious : rejected for wrong white balance... it's a 3D illustration...

another illustration also valentine concept rejected for similar reason.

Did you have your share of hilarious rejections, share them and make us laugh...:-)

Patrick.

Maybe your illustration is so nice that they thought it's a photo!

I get that all the time from my photoshopped stuff - they must not have a button for "I don't like this illustration..."

Yeah...I have gotten that occasionally for things shot in a golden sunset. Amber tones sell almost as hot as business blue, but some reviewers get a bit reject happy after the umpteenth tungsten yellow photo. They start getting the idea that anything with an overall yellow tone is wrong.

Yes, gotten that reason too, in regards to my 3D illustrations at SS. Although they are better about acepting them than IS is. I have had no problems with DT in this regard.

iStock hates non-vector illustrations. The one that I actually got approved, makes me hit payout every month. Is iStockphoto making a huge mistake rejecting these types of images? YES. It's their loss...such a shame.

I got rejected as a photog on istock when I submitted only 3D renders/raster illustrations (for those keeping count the only thing they will let me upload to date are Flash movies). If I were emperor, I would separate out non-vector illustrations from photographs and vector illustrations - basically make a separate category for them for searching and uploading.

wow thats an illustration? My guess would be that they prob didnt realise it was an illustration and mistook the yellowness for tungsten lighting. Tut wot a waste!

I had the old white balance rejection reason, on some bread that was golden brown lol. It was meant to look that way and actually phographed in natural daylight, ho hum, well we cant argue can we and I dont like making a fuss in SS forums lol.

Hi,

Yup, that's a 3D render/illustration... made it in bryce..one of the strongest cheap 3D programs out there. In fact, you can have a look at my online portfolio, all renders are made with bryce 3D landscaping program.

It's not only strong at rendering landscapes, once you get the hang of it you can do amazing thing with it...

excample below...
