Default Istock question

Does anyone know a way to answer or remove a comment on an image. On one of my houses (my best seller), a uswer left the following comment: "This image is huge, and reducing it to a usable size results in major pixelation. Beware!"

The image is the same size as any 8mp file and can be reduced easily if you know how. I tried contacting the user directly but they never answered my pm.

I hate having a negative comment because this user doesn't know what the hell they are doing. They also left no rating - don't know if that matters, but this image was getting many downloads a day until shortly after that comment.

I don't think so.

Ironically, not five minutes ago I was just reading a post on their forum about some XS images having major artifacting issues. The thread contains some info about how you might contact IS about your image, if indeed there is a problem as the commentator suggested. Don't know if this will help you at all, since it doesn't address your specific question, but here's the link anyway.

Thanks. I didn't think about it maybe being an Istock problem. I downsized to 100x100 in PS and it looks fine. I even offered to send the buyer a copy at whatever size they needed. Never responded.

This has been covered on many forums. Anybody that wants to trash your image can leave a bad review or comment and we have no recourse.

On IS, as you know, there is a "Add Blog Post" feature. Maybe you can post your reponse there in regards to this complaint and set the record straight. Too bad they don't allow a rebuttal, like you get on ebay feedback.

I had sent a note to tech support on this. They just got back to me and agreed it was an 'unnecessary and ignorant remark' and removed it.

What a DumbASS...

DAHHHHHH I don't know how to resize a photo---daaahhhhhh

Where the heck are these designers learning their trade? I have coming across a lot of designers that don't have a clue, lately. They probably make more money then I do, too -thats the sad thing.
