Sorry about that. I was trying to move it, and accidentally deleted it.

This might be the thread you're talking about? Not sure.

Dude, I'd just submit as much of a variety as you can. I think that's all they're looking for.

Show us which images you've been submitting, and maybe we can comment on them? Hey - you never know, maybe one of us can give you some feedback / constructive criticism.

Here is a link to your portfolio on iStock - I've got to say, you have some very professional looking shots. There's no doubt in my mind that you should be accepted on StockXpert...maybe you're just submitting the wrong ones? Maybe it's their fault, I don't know.

These are the one's I'd submit, if I were you (if you haven't tried these already):

I think that shows a good variety, and what you're capable of as a photographer. If they still don't want to accept you - don't get discouraged, just keep on shooting! They will, eventually.

thanks for the suggestions. i submitted one or two of the ones you have suggested in the list. Think in my first attempt. I submit so many times i kind of lost track of which images i submit. But sure, definitely would consider a few of those u suggested!

Anyone else has any suggestion on what to submit to Stock Expert?

Wish I could help you - they turned down my application after asking twice for more images. Their reply was that my quality wasn't up to par (hmmm?). They told me to try again in a month...no thanks. I asked them to delete my account.

These are a few that I submitted:

Overexposed, I get many pics denied with "photo too dark" reason, sounds silly since this is not the issue on the other picky sites like IS or SS, my guess the reviewers monitors are too dark. Once I read on IS forums how one reviewer was proudly shouting out that his monitor is calibrated with Adobe Gamma and that really scared me, because in my experience Gamma does nothing good for calibrating. So who knows what thing they use to calibrate their monitors there in StockXpert if they even do that.

SX are making some strange decisions lately.

Yesterday I submitted three images to all the majors. SS and SX were both first to review them. SS took two and rejected one, SX took the one that SS refused and rejected the two that SS took! Reason, lack of detail on both.

Yeah, I've gotten the photo too dark on brightly lit daylight subjects. Mostly when they give the same reason to the whole batch. Same thing - IS and SS takes the same shots. Bad monitor and lazy?

I've also found that they will reject anything that is shot on a white background that has any hint of a shadow. I've had many shots rejected with the 'unsuitable background' reason only because of a slight shadow. What's really dumb is that on good shots like Gracey's film reels, where it would be almost impossible to light it without any shadows, are rejected. You could always do a ton of PS work to get rid of the shadows but who wants to spend that much extra time for a single site.

My monitor is too dark, so they take 90% of my photos. I have thought about calibrating it but my photos sell well as they are, so I am not sure if it is worth doing.

I don't like bright monitors, as if you look at them all day, they can strain your eyes. My photos don't look right on bright monitors but how many designers, who spend all day looking at their screens, will have the brightness turned right up?
