Hi Rinder,

I've been with them for about a year now. Sales are not that great over there. The main problem is their search function. I checked my last submitted/appproved batch, and checked the day after approval. I found them on page 28 or higher. Seems there is some ranking system in place.. ahum.... There is no function to search on most recently etc...

If i'm correct they announced somewhere they were going to change the search function and implement some other algorithms.

I'll give them a few more months.... and see if sales increase.

Patrick.

i am new to stock, i joined in the few stock sites around jun - sept 06 and been uploading to a few sites. But after loading 100 photos at Scanstock and nothing is happening, i have stopped uploading there since Nov 06. Better to concentrate and build up my portfolio in other sites first then waste time on a site that many say are not working???? I wanted to load there because it seem to be the only stock site in Euro and I dont want to put all my eggs in one basket. I thgt its good to diversify the portfolios to non-US sites, that was why i join Scanstock and Big White Stock. But after 100 photos and nothing seems to be happening i stopped. At least in Featurepics, I get the incentive to upload cos its 70% payout and I have been getting a few downloads a month.

The forum is also almost non existent with one or two threads in a few months????? I asked those who sell what is selling and there was no response??? So i am wondering if thsoe selling are their own people posting in forum hahahaha

I've never messed with Scanstock - glad I haven't, from what you guys are telling me.

What about Galastock!? I've had over 100 images in the approval cue for going on 3 or 4 months now. Dumbasses...

I made .60 cents in that time period, and .22 cents in referral sales. Whooptie Freakin Doo. I should just pull out over there.

They suck, I have a whole lot of Norwegian images on the site, thinking they would sell and nothing, a complete waste of time and energy.

I have one download at scanstock. I don't have high hopes about the place, but it so easy to upload there! :

I've been with Scanstock for about a year, and I reached my first 50 Euro payout last month.

I quit June 2006 and donated them the 8 Euro I collected the previous 10 months. You can see when a site is slowly going down the drains: design doesn't get updated, no activity in the forums, and especially no sales.

The recent Alexa ratings confirm this:
http://www.alexa.com/data/details/tr...stockphoto.com

Lost 20% traffic the past 3 months, and what's more, 50% less page views per user.
