heck yea...I just uploaded like 400 this afternoon. Now I have to go through them one at a time to add in all the keywords that fell out...I HATE how that happens only with LO - its like if you have over 10 or 15 keywords, the rest disappear.

Here's Joel's response to Todd's question:
Quote:
For the users with IPTC problems, the difficulty comes in IrfanView's confusing interface. The keyword input screen for IrfanView uses return-delimited keywords (that is, you have to have a keyword on every new line), but many people understandably assume they can use comma-separated keywords or some combination thereof. Unfortunately, comma-separated keywords in IrfanView end up counting as one big keyword, and will result in the words being concatenated when our system strips out the commas. When ALL of the keywords are inputted as one comma-separated keyword, our system is smart enough to handle that, but sometimes IrfanView reports the length incorrectly and ends up truncating it. Photoshop, for instance, will also read the keywords in as truncated.

Seeing as IrfanView is popular I intend to make it work properly even if your keywords are not correctly formatted. If you use IrfanView your best bet is to switch to using endlines between keywords instead of commas. If you delete any concatenated tags on your already-uploaded images you can add them in properly by pasting in the comma-delimited string in our sticky word adder.

yeah...I keyword in photoshop and everything comes through fine. Good to see Joel is already on top of it and plans to make it work no matter what you use.

yeah, you have to use semicolons in photoshop - the problem is, when I was using photoshop - all of the sites weren't getting the keywords, they were getting all screwed up. I don't know if things have changed since the beginning of 2006 when I started...

I love using Irfanview, it's just so easy. It works with all of my sites, all 12 of them - perfectly...except Lucky Oliver. I think they're going to have to adjust their coding or whatever to accept them, otherwise it's just a big pain in the arse.

Still, this keyword crap is killing me. going through copying and pasting in lists of each photos keywords, one image at a time.....UGH that's not even worth the 50% royalty. I'm going back and forth with Joel to see how long it's going to take to get this fixed. I've got a lot of images to bring to the table, maybe they'll want to hook me up.
