The poster is done and ready for downloading (and yes, you are in it).

You can get it here:

http://www.antos.ca

you can thank Tom Antos (antos at SS) for hosting the poster

I was thinking it might be nice to have similar projects for other sites if we get enough people to join in.

In a few more months we might have enough members at talkMicro for one

I've already initiated the project on two other sites (not stock sites)

Gracey,

That is fantastic, I will be printing off a copy today, Good work it must have taken ages!

Are you going to get model releases and upload it?

I think it would be interesting to see people from the other sites too,

When we get a few more members - I would love to see one for here, Its people like you that bring these kind of communities together.

Well impressed

Doug

Can't really think about uploading and selling something like that - even if I could get model releases, i didn't take any of the pics except my own

it actually didn't take very long. I used irfanview - way faster than PS for something like that - batch all the photos to the same size and add borders (by changing the canvas size and colour in the options when you set up the batch) and in a few seconds irfanview gives you the finished pics. Then all you do is create horizontal panos (albeit one line at a time) and then create a vertical pano from all the horizontal strips. Maybe at most half hour.

All those PS users wouldn't think of using a little program like IV I guess, but it's way quicker for something simple like this.

Not just me - if people don't participate in a project like this, you don't get very far with it. I consider it to have been a very successful group effort - everyone gets credit for participation. Tom too - he was very kind to host it for us. My personal website wouldn't be able to stand that much bandwidth without being shut down

Maybe so, but it was you who took the initive to actually do it...

your right, Sometimes its easyer to use other programs,

I have a handy freebe tool that I use more called imageN it allows photoshop plugins to be used on images without actually having photoshop. There are so many free filters and plugins around... No messing it just applys the filters..

Now I have PS its a bit redundant , but I still use it because im familiar with the interface..

Where is your website hosted BTW?

My website is hosted with our internet provider (rogers-yahoo) - we got a free space for every email account we had (at the time two) that had no advertising. Every email account we opened under our main one after that also gets free space, but with advertising. I can upgrade for a reasonable price (I think it's about $7.00 a month) for a lot more bandwidth - just haven't had to yet

I've put two other sites up (one for a racecar driver's whose photos I shoot and another for an elvis presley entertainer) on my "advert" sites. They aren't complete yet, and hopefully will be moved to their own spaces when they are done.
