Default November Results

Hey People,

Here's the usual monthly report. November was another record breaking month for me. Best month ever in most sites. Here are the stats:

Site -> % of Total -> Variation from October
#1 - ShutterStock -> 46% -> 26% -> BME
#2 - StockXpert -> 12% -> 32% -> BME
#3 - iStockPhoto -> 12% -> 13% -> BME
#4 - Fotolia -> 10% -> 90% -> BME
#5 - Dreamstime -> 7% -> 16%
#6 - 123 RF -> 6% -> 49% -> BME
#7 - BigStockPhoto -> 2% -> 19% -> BME

Shutterstock is the undisputed #1 for me. iStock keeps on the good results of October, but StockXpert stole the #2 place. Awesome increase on Fotolia also. The difference between #2 and #4 is very small.
Also to notice an increase on Canstock with 23 sales (more than all previous months together). Not sure it's worth it yet. Probably I'll cancel my account after reaching payout.
Increase also on Featurepics, which I will support due to the principles of the site and ease of upload.
Galastock and LuckyOliver are close to dead for me.

A grand total of more than 2100 sales across all sites (18% increase) and a 30% increase in payouts this month. Best month ever overall. Let's see what December brings us.

Wishing everyone an awesome December.

Cheers,

Antonio

Very nice. I too noticed a dramatic increase in Canstock.

SS earnings +115% !!!!!!!!! DL's +197%
SXP earnings +70% DL's +88%
IS earnings -15% DL's -21%
DT earnings -26% DL's -13%
BSP earnings -22% DL's -47%
FT i'm in no mood to count them... But was better than previous month.
123RF earnings +62% DL's +83%
FPics 1DL and 1 Referral... Less than 2 dollars...

IS was down, but had a good last three days... No uploads there until they get their act straight.

123RF performed far better than BSP and sent them to the last place in my list (FPics still does not count...).

Hate that at Fotolia you don?t have stats (cummulative stats).

Dreamstime was sloooooow... Even having uploaded the same pics as in the other sites, they were too slow to my liking.

SS and SXP make up the bulk, followed by Fotolia...

Overall, in earnings I was up significantly compared as previous months... I also uploaded lots of pics, but still was goooood!

Here is a summary of my month.

Earnings percentage :

SS : + 63%
DT : + 6%
CS : + 85%
123 : + 44%
BS : + 163%
IS : - 21%
Fotolia : + 21
SXP : +125%

Note : big number on bigstock is because I had 4 EL sales, but without those the increase in sales is still 92%, very good result.
The big increase on bigstock can also be explained due to the new payment line-up. Since end of october they have two prices for photogs, 1 dollar for print version, 0,50 dollar for web resolution.
A quick calculation gives me an increase of 36% on downloads, but with the 4 EL sales and bringing into count the 1 dollar sales there is an overall increase of 163% in earnings.
Also notice the upward trend of SXP, being my second month over there they are doing very good, if that trend continues they will probably rise to 4th place in just a few months.
The big increase on CS isn't that significant because in october I had very few sales, but a noticable increase this month, i'm curious if that trend will continue.
Istock being the only site that went backwards, a trend that started around summer with the new introductions.

Overall increase of earnings : 52%.
Let's not forget that the after summer months tend to be the best over the year, this could explain for the increase in numbers compared to those of previous months. Compared to other months the regular increase is around 15-20%, this month being a record with the 52%. I've noticed the same in 2005 where november was my best month, don't have an excact calculation because I didn't keep a spreadsheet in 2005.

Ranking and percentage :

1 : Shutterstock 33 %
2 : Bigstock 23 %
3 : Dreamstime 17 %
4 : Fotolia 8 %
5 : 123Royaltyfree 6 %
6 : Stockxpert 5 %
7 : Istock 4 %
8 : Canstock 4 %

Again, Istock being my number 3 before summer has now already dropped to second last place.

Patrick.

They do post stats, but it's a little weird. Go to My Photos/Statistics and then select the information as you'd like to review it.

I'll post my results in the morning...the ol' brain doesn't function well at 2 a.m.

I think this is going to be my favorite Thread. I am so excited about micro stock I can't sleep at night. This to me is also the best website. I have learned so much about this business in the last month. THANKS TO ALL YOU GUYS!!! I will add my stats in next month. Until I met you guys I pretty much thought IS was the only one out there. I should have most of my photo's uploaded on the other sites by next month so I can give a more accurate account.

I must say I do feel like I hit the mother load with SS. I wasn't even considering them until I read all the post here. I have only been on SS for 3 days with small amounts of my photo's being approved each day and the results are:

day 1 12dl
day 2 19dl
day 3 50dl

30% shutterstock
8% fotolia
19% istockphoto
13% dreamtime
7% bigstockphoto
9% 123RF
2% Canstock
9% StockXpert
1% Featurepics
0% LuckyOliver
0% Galastock

BME at SS and IS. Total sales was down on last month (a great month) but still on an upward trend. Not bad considering only 7 photos uploaded in the month.
