Default Change in sales after price change at IStock

Are you finding your sales have dropped or gone up after the Istock Price restructure?

My sales are down. Im not if this is due to my lack of activity on the site. I have found in the past that Istock requires constant work in order to maintain sales. Like creating new galleries etc.

Default How have they changed?

I have been uploading there since the end of 2005 but still haven't found time to read all the stuff and opt in for all the features, like extended royalty something and allowing them to sell prints of your pics. Can anyone elaborate on this.

Thanks in advance and regards from Macedonia.

The extended royalty allows the buyer to reproduce your images for the purpose of prints and resale.. (postcards for example)

This means your image may be sold over and over again by the buyer with you getting no extra income from it.

This seems to be quite a controversial subject for stock photographers everywhere

I found that my sales have gone up... It could have been my new uploads. I have had a steady increase there. I have made galleries that work for me. I'm only active in that area. What I have done is comment on some images and found that they brows my gallery then. Sales from that, don't know.

It just take sooooo long know to upload. Had a bit of trouble the past 2 days but got the images online. I like istock. I bought 3 Photography magasines. One about Photoshop. Istock had atleast 2 adds in each book. Shows me they are doing a lot of marketing. I like it!

I checked mine today and they seem back to norm, It looks like it was juts a temp slow down..

I have found you do have to keep active at Istock, creating galleries etc to keep things moving.

Apparently Ive heard they are the most visited microstock on the internet. So they should seell well

iStock sales have gone up, shutterstock sales have gone down. With the new higher prices I'm now making about the same at both sites.
