Default Resizing

We have released resizing capabilities. Please let us know how it works for you.
Thank you!

I love the idea of the resizing capabilities, just want to check something before I hit any buttons though.

If I, for instance, recalculated the price for all by images by about 200% and allowed sales of various sizes then the middle size would be around the original price, the large size at the new higher price and the small size at about a quarter - is this correct ?

Kerioak, it will not work exactly how you described, but it is very close.

Koefficient will depend on the original size (there is a difference if you allow to resize 900 px image or 4900px image).
If price for resized size is less than 50 cents this size will be excluded.

May be the best way to check it is to try recalculate a couple images (just click "Recalculate" button but don't click "Save") and check the results. You can change the price for your test images as well and see what will work better for you.

Let us know how it works for you.
Thank you, Elena.

I really like this option - the more choices for the buyers the better the sales!

Thanks Elena!

Wow, this is excellent. I think this will make a huge difference in sales. I have been uploading the largest files I can at other microstocks but noticed that I sell the most at small size. So I think buyers may have been reluctant to buy at featurepics because what they really want is a small web graphic for $1.

I'm just starting to upload to featurepics. I'm pricing my royalty free images so that the small is around $1. What do you all think about that strategy? Do you think that's too low?

And, by the way, sold my first editorial image at featurepics this week. I was so excited. That's one thing that brought me to featurepics was the ability to sell editorial. I've always wanted to be a photojournalist!

Thanks Elena and featurepics staff, the site is running beautifully.

Elena,

You guys have been doing an excellent job. You truly listen to your photographers. That alone is enough to make me keep uploading and supporting FeaturePics.

Many thanks,

Antonio
