Default Rawshooter/Pixmantec/Adobe

I see that Adobe has aquired the assets of Pixmantec and that RawShooter Premium 2006 is being discontinued.

The free version RawShooter Essentials 2006 is available for a little longer so if you think you may ever need it then it may be a good idea to download it sooner rather than later

Pixmantec

Here's a post on DPReview on a new free RAW converter software http://forums.dpreview.com/forums/re...hread=19187667
Looks good, wondering if anyone here has tried it yet?

I am using canon DPP at the moment but was thinking of buying another converter, if it will save me time and produce good results. I will try the Raw Therapee one. Silkypix and Bibble were two others I was going to try but they are not free.

Are there any others worth considering that are not going to cost too much?

I tried RawTherapee a while back - it wasn't so good. Kept crashing.

Silkypix has a 30days free trial and also a completely free lite version, I love it because it is not too memory hungry and makes great pics, SY
