Small Bordered Images

I've been wondering about the viability of setting up a collection of images for print on notecards and postcards on FeaturePics. Images that are "print ready" - basically you could download it (or purchase the collection), fit it onto the "card" and order your prints from wherever you get your cards done.

I have a number of images that are cropped out of full size images and bordered for use on notecards and postcards. Because the image is cropped it is rather small, and most of them are heavily filtered so they are not the "traditional" stock type image.

I believe the majority of mine are just around or slightly above the 600pixel size (short side) limit on FP, but because of the bordered edges I'm thinking they would look sort of silly in the general stock archive so I haven't bothered to upload any.

I wonder if there would be a way to create a separate archive, or 'sub archive' for images like this, or even if it would be worthwhile. Because of the size, and limitations for use it might not, but grouped together on a collection CD might make them attractive as a purchase.

I'm guessing if they were targeted to card mfg. they'd require a special licensing to be able to print enough to make it worthwhile.

There's probably a lot of photographer's with smaller images that could work for something like this, and maybe it would be something a little different than some of the other stock sites do.

Gracey, do you mean these images should not be posted in general categories, only in collections?
It can be done.
Oksana and Alexey are almost ready to finalize a "special license" for T-shirts, greeting cards, etc.

Yes, I was thinking something along those lines - mainly because they are not really the usual type of stock image they might work better grouped as a collection.

That would be good for a collection such as this.
