Default Property/witness release question

quite like this shot.Would i need a property release for the boat though ?

It's a hired pleasure craft rather than someones home. Not too sure on the legal

While i'm on the subject of releases.Say i take some shots of my old dad on his allotment and get him to sign the model release, all well and good. But who witnesses it if there is no one there at the time. Not sure on the witness thingy ?

Witnessing thing is a legal thing obvoiusly. What must be done is the witness must witness that the person has agreed to and signed the release. The release can be signed at any time, even years after the photo was taken (no need to fudge dates).

Therefore it is only a problem if you need a witness and there is no one around and you will never see the person again.

...and make sure the model's signature date, the witness signature date, and the photographer signature date are all the same or the release may get refused depending on the agency.

provided you cant see a face you should be fine (given their importance in the shot I dont think you could get away with bluring them). re the boat, it looks pretty generic to me so you should be fine as well.
