Hi there, I have been on feature pics site for 10 months now and I get lots of views but haven't had any downloads, what am I doing wrong, or are my photos easily copied?
Any answers would be greatful.
They have now incorporated watermarks so copying should no longer be an issue (if it ever was)
I have had a few sales and so have people I have referred. It is slower than some of the other sites but the higher percentage makes up for a bit of the slowness.
Do you have your photos on other sites? Do they sell?
How big is your portfolio?
What price have you set them at? (I think the main range is $0-5 so if it is higher than this, then your market is smaller - some have sold photos for more).
I do have a few photos on other sites but mainly they are different.
Yes have had some sold, the price range for the photos on FP's 1-5, I'll keep persistent.
I'm a member since a few days had my first download today 5$ from what i get 3.50$ definately not the site with huge traffic. But i like the model so much and the uploading process is so easy replies are quick and friendly so i will stay and upload more!
600 views, 1 download.
I really like the site (better IMO than fotolia). I think you just need to tap into the type of pictures that the downloaders are looking for. They added the "Top Searched Words" to the front page. See if any of those keywords are things you could add to your portfolio.
I have been very pleasantly surprised to get three downloads in the week-and-a-half since I became a member. I still have a relatively small portfolio (+/- 140)
Well I have about 150 images in gallery and only one download but I hope it will go up. I am FP member since August. Also we all need to recommend buyers to FP.
I have about 120 images up and have had 6 or so downloads. My stuff isn't really "stock". I do need to get out and start shooting "stock" style photos for uploading so that I can beef up the gallery.
To the original poster of this thread - If you don't have many photos online, you aren't going to fill the needs of many differing clients. Keep posting and keep up the variety. I looked at your gallery and you have some nice shots, just not enough of them online yet.
