Default working with multiple stock sites

I work with 5 photo stock sites and I am really tired of uploading/keywording/adding model releases, over and over for every site. It tooks half of my night time to ensure everything was properly uploaded to all 5 sites, add keywords and click all these "I agree/I have/ I do not have" checkbuttons!
I saw a promising 'prostockmaster' app was discussed on some forum, do not remember where.
Does anyone tryied it out? Does it work like they claim it should?

I have the program but haven't tried it yet.

Most issues wont go away though. All it does is keyword and upload and track. You will still need to categorise and accept.

I use Pixvue to do all my keywords (others use photoshop) so I only have to do it once (most sites pick up the ITPC data). Upload is by ftp program and tracking is done manually in excel and with folders for teh actual files.

It is this last part (tracking) that I hope to see some beneifts. Especially since it is in the same program as the uploader so if a file isn't noted as uploaded, you can do it easily rather than trying to find whcih folder you have it in.

When my current house guest leave, I plan to trial it so will let you know.

hi Yuric, welcome to talkmicro,

prostockmaster looks pretty good to me, I will probably start top use it once it has reached production stage, I think its it alpha at the momment , which probably means it's pretty buggy.

I would wait untill it's released in at least beta stage before tryiing it out. Especially as it hold account details etc...

The concept of it is great, In reality im not sure how well it will work becuase all the sites process's are different.

Cheers

Doug

I use Photoshop. Just go to File/File Info, and enter all of the keywords and descriptions there. All of the info is tranferred during the upload, so all that's left to do is catagorize and accept the agreement terms. I also ftp wherever it is available (SS, DT, Fotolia, SXP, BSP, Feature Pics), which saves a lot of time.

yeah i hate this too!
But newer sites make it much easier to contribute for example stockxpert, featurepics and 123rf.
StockPhotoAssistant is a little help. But the biggest issue is still the categorizing process Dreamstime is by far the worst (IS is also annoying but IM helps here) not only to click through the several sites for each picture there also a lot of server hangouts and delay makes it a real pain. Sales are constant at DT but not so good i will probably dump this site in the future it's already the last one i upload. Fotolia is also very annoying i dumped this one already.

Default keywords on pscs

When entering keywords to an image in pscs, i know you go to file/file info, etc. Q? When entering multiple keywords separated by a comma, is there a space in between? or just enter the keyword, keyword, keyword, ... etc

yurik,
I hate that too. I use PS and SmartFTP, but they give me no help in keywording, categorizing etc.

I have got my copy of prostockmaster. They sent me Alpha2 version a few days ago.

Just installed and tried it uploading a few files to SS, IS and DT.

No doubt, it works!
What I liked:
- you do not need to have multiple apps to prepare files, this one aim to be 'all-in-one'
- you type keywords just once and (this is nice!) you can copy them from any file u already keyworded in the past. So, for my vacation shots in Toscana I needed to change just a few words for every image - all the rest I copied from the first file I keyworded for that batch
-history: the app keeps upload history, so I know where the stuff went
- one-click many-to-many uploads (many files to many sites)
- local search by keyword; I did not see it any app yet. If I want to add "landscape" I can search my files for that word and then copy keywords from similar file(s). Pretty cool

What I did not like:
- still have to type all my keywords with no help; They have "Templates" button while copying, but the btn is grayed out - I suppose this will come in some later versions. And I wish they have a spell checker built-in!
- this is Java, so it's not that fast like a native code - image preview come slow. I did not notice any diff in upload speed - seems more or less the same like my FTP uploads
- this version is restricted to 5 uploads daily :-(

Bottom line:
I liked the app and I found it helpful. I wish it has more stuff for keywording (they probably will?). It worked fine for my test upload to 3 sites. I think I would consider buying it when it becomes to be a commercial version - it is indeed a time saver even in this preliminar version

I always add a space.

I'll probably get my copy and will try it.
