I signed up with moneybookers but I've never used them.

If you are thinking of doing that for SS you should read the posts again - they said you should only use moneybookers if you are in a country that doesn't accept paypal.

Personally, I don't see why - if they've got it set up to do for some, they should be able to do it for anyone who selects it.

I was never charged for paypal transfers from dreamstime, bigstock, or stockxpert - I am going to try receiving my next shutterstock transaction through paypal, just to see what happens - its so much more convenient than waiting for a check, and then going to the bank to cash or deposit it.

It depends on your account type apparently. You need a personal account not the type that accepts credit card payments. There is discussion somewhere on this.

Moneybookers has an edge in those countries not serviced by paypal and in which a check in US$ is not desirable, due to high banking fees. Otherwise, paypal is better.

Gracey, I read that on SS too, seems silly to me, maybe it costs them more to use moneybookers!

Oh well..

Unfortunatly i have one of those paypal accoutns that charges for everything, i remmeber haveuing to spend ages and ages setting it up.

A right pain

So why do you need it? Go back to a personal account, or open a personal account with another email address and get paid without fees.

Phew, thanks dude, I had no idea why my first payment hadn't reached me yet. I wrote support and asked them, *is this true?* because it's not in the FAQs or anything... and it might very well be in the forum but it's gotta be an old discussion because I didn't find it after I read your statement. Now I feel better... just gotta open a personal PayPal account (mine's a Business). After I hear from SS about why this is so.

Default PayPal

Got my answer... I guess I misunderstood you CJPhoto... you need a personal account if you don't want to be charged a possible fee by PayPal... but SS will send the payment no matter which type you have, they say. I am assured by PayPal that they won't charge me a fee for this but it depends on your account type.

Payments were supposed to go out today but its 9:30 pm eastern and I still haven't seen mine... and i thought it was because my account was the wrong type, but apparently not.

Hope y'all had a great 4th!
