We all talk about "microstock" named after the site www.microstock.com

Has anyone actually used this site to sell their photos? They have over a million images, which is more than any of the big sites discussed here...

Hi Doug, thanks. I think your site is a great idea. I got your link from the forum @ microstockphoto.

It's very simalar to your forum in the sence you can speak freely and they help you a lot. Its a new site but I must admit, I like it. It is very easy to upload to and the owner, John is very helpfull. I have had a few sales there. It is picking up. At the moment out performing some of the bigger names like FL :wink:
It has just reached over 6000 images in a very short space of time. Your photo's is approved within a day. They did also a marketing CD to Russia for some design houses there..

To get back to microstock.. Don't know them and I wonder who is submitting to them. Not even Forgiss know about them and he knows stuff in the stock industry even before some of the sites know themself! I have mailed him. He is travelling all over the world. Think he is in France and going back to Germany.

I did send him your link so he will sign up like in the next few minutes..

Thanks Ice, I think The microstockforum is part of the microstockphoto site, Its good that they dont mind people talking openly there but sometimes It just feels uncomfortable talking about other sites in an agency "owned" forum.

I will give microstockphoto a go sometime soon. Im struggling to keep up with four sites at the momment, I know some people submit to loads

I think Forgiss said he submits to 14

I know what you say.. It is sometimes just better to speak your mind without up setting to many people. I think Forgiss is up to 17 sites at the moment. I'm up to 14. Joined 2 today but one is a problem to upload to. Takes ages to complete an image.. I have uploaded a 1100 images so far this month to 11 sites that was aproved. Trying to boost my totals.

What 4 are you on? Under what username do you submit (morch)?

I only discovered Micropayment sites last year and I was a complete sceptic at first.. Im still very much learning what sells.

Nope, I just try and upload as much as possible. I will try and upload another 1000 in Feb if all goes well. Got a couple of models to shoot but just not the time. I do a lot of DVD productions. I was confinced by Forgiss to start up in stock. It just took of from there. It can be a viable income. You just need to "learn" stock. It is very diffrent than lets say wedding photography. (To a degree) Some of my best images is rejected and then the bride order a 3 meter print.. go figure..

My username is everywhere the same Ice exept on Istock it's AngelIce as they already have a user Ice :cry:

1100 images is not that much. Its about 100 per site upload as that is my total upload. I have about 1000 waiting to be edited and uploaded..
