Default I'm new, I'm lost....

Hi, all.

Found these forums by error, and decided sometimes God works in mysterious ways...I've registered at Featurepics, and had my first 4 uploads accepted very quickly. Made me smile to get the email.

So I go over to the site, just because I wanna see myself (yes, ego...so sue me... :P ). I managed to find some of the shots, and created a gallery for those two (Big Cats). They're in there, nice and quiet as good little photos should be.

But I've lost the other two. Can't figure out where they managed to go hide. They're apparently problem photos, and not well behaved like my other two.

I've yodled, searched, called, clicked, shut the browser, re-opened, can't find them anywhere except if I run a search function specifically for those search terms I used. I've looked in "my images" and those pending review show up. I can't figure out where else they'd be; I know they're on the system somewhere...

I honestly figure it's just me (I'm computer illiterate; the sort of person that Customer Service asks if I've got myself plugged in... ops: and it's often not... ), so I know I just can't find it because I am not looking in the right place.

Any help? Any idea where those buggers are hiding? I do have 10 more in queue for review, and hope that when they're accepted, they don't disappear, too.

Thanks, and I'm looking forward to a profitable venture with FeaturePics.

It was one of those "are you plugged in?" type moments. I'm not blond nor am I blind, I swear. Apparently, there's a little tab to click called..."Published Images." Who knew??

So...I suppose it's a great thing that my camera has a shutter release, and isn't plugged in or complicated. OTOH, a few days ago I was out shooting, and managed to fiddle with something I never fiddled with before; locked everything into some weird WB correction...so I had to clear all settings to get it back to basics. Then I managed to twiddle something, and had to repeat the process in clearing the settings. Yeah, so...well...I am not the most technically minded person on this planet. I mean, who knew?? I can vaccuum, though. Scare the cat to death, but he climbs down off the curtains afterwards.

LOLing at myself, as usual. Thanks for the help, Ian.

I did the same thing, stared at the screen forever wondering where my pictures went. You are not alone.

And a lot of digital cameras are designed with powerful buttons in places where it is natural to put your fingers, so you aren't the only one to set something wrong. If you look at some camera reviews, you will find lots of comments about buttons that you can't reach and those that are all too easy to push.

I case somebody will start to look for "My watermarks"/"Bulk prices"/"Referral Pages" etc - they moved under
"Account Settings (new)".
We will try to comment the changes in a better way.
Thank you!

Nope, thank you guys. It's a fun site, and holds great promise. I was just lost, tired, and confused. You'd think I'd be used to that by my age, but I'm not.

I've got myself sorted out (well, for the moment), and appreciate the help.

Also, Photovan, thanks for the reassurance...it's sort of, well, embarrassing to be shooting a subject and have to stop because you hit "the wrong button." I suppose I should RTM, but hey, that takes all the "fun" out of the day, dontcha know.

Thanks again, everyone.

Hi, FeaturePics people.

Just wanted to say thanks for the 24/24 acceptances (for the account Focalpoint; it wouldn't take focalfrenzy.). Made me grin. Several clicks but no download yet, but that's all right - that will come.

Thanks for the Monday grin!
