referring people for commissions
Which sites pay the most, re: commissions. If anyone cares to explain (id be grateful to hear, as Im only a member of two sites so far) in summary, what is the basic commission structure of the main sites, and which ones earn those who refer people the most money long term.
Someone told me SS had the only decent affilliate program.

Hi
Most of us put our referral links in our signature lines at the bottom of the posts - did you have any particular site in mind ?
I have yet to learn how much affiliates earn the referrers

Cheers. Seems a waste not signing up under someone who'se been helpful. I guess I'll be creating an account with fololia and istock later, already have an istock friend/link to sign up under...
SS seems (based on what you guys are saying) to pay the best - their lifetime 12% commission seems very generous too. Just signed up with dreamstime and their 10% for 6 months is crap, in my opinion. Id rather have 2% for life.

fotolia used to give a buck for every new referral, but that's over with. I think Shutterstock is the best for referral money - lately i've been getting some affilliate money with fotolia and dreamstime as well, .05 - .15 here and there. It adds up over time, I guess. Getting referrals/affiliates is easy, but getting ones that actually upload images, is not.

I think I have 5 or 6 affiliates on SS. Only one has had there photos accepted (I hope I am not a jinx).

I've got about 30, with only 4 or 5 with images accepted...so don't feel bad :P
I get about an extra .50cents to a buck a day sometimes from referrals, inot much but it adds up at the end of the month I guess.

I have signed several people and it works... At SS I have 13 affiliates and they produce, on average, a couple of bucks a day. At Fotolia I have about 7 affiliates and it varies... Yesterday I got two dollars from these, on other days is less... Yesterday I got my third full affiliate from BSP (from 177 signed, only 3 have fullfilled the requirements) and it was another $5 ($15 in total from the 3). At DT I have earned about $10 in the last month or so from signed people.
So, I have to say that, even being little money, it keeps adding up and on years end it should be enough for something.
