Default New galleries on home page..when changed?

Hi..I created two new Galleries on June 1. The galleries listed as new on the home page are still the same ones that were there at that time. When does this change to reflect "newer" galleries?

We have made a small change... New galleries should appear within 30 minutes after publishing. We will keep new galleries on the home page for 14 days.
Thank you very much for asking and answering!

Galleries aren't working very well for me today - it keeps trying to download/open "myimages.aspx" whenever you try to add photos to a gallery, or publish a gallery. It did this to me last week, also. I tried it on both Firefox and Safari...just a heads up.

Yeh, we were changing thumbnails (with watermarks!!!), so old files were not available for Galleries.
Should work now.
Sorry...

Default Galleries Question

Are the photos free in galleries? Or is this just a way to advertise your images?

Thanks
Marianne

Marianne,
currently gallery images can be used under open suite image license

Please, look at http://www.featurepics.com/Gallery/Gallery12_1.aspx.
You will find on the top of the image
"You may use these images under the conditions stated in
Open Image Suite User License Find All Free Stock Photos

Photo may be reproduced free of charge. Please credit [Author],...
View the Code".

I have one example how images had been published under this type of license:

http://www.hintsandthings.com/garden/saving_water.htm

Your question made me think - may be we should offer a choice:
"gallery only for view"/"Open Image Suite User License ".

In this case "only for view" galleries will have statement "you have no permission to use..."

What do you think? It will be not difficult to add this choice.

Thanks, Elena.

Hi,

I think this would be a great idea. I couldn't get the first link to work, I'll try looking on site.

Thanks,
Marianne
