The 3D Studio is new to Stock Photos / Images but they are not a new company. They started in 1996 with offering offering 3D and 2D resources.

I signed up with them in the beginning of August 09. They managed with only part of my portfolio and less then a month to reach place 5 in my sales statistic for this month. I was not even interest to sign up with another agency in the moment, but after reading in another forum about contributors have good luck with sales there I decided singe up with them.

artist commission: 60%
affiliate commission sales rate: 20%
affiliate seller referral rate: 5%
PayPal: no minimum
Price: set your own
Upload process: fast (but you have to pick one category per image)
model/property release: one time upload and then just selection

The images are instantly live on our website and listed with an Editorial Only license. From there, reviewers will look at each and every image to see if it can be approved for a Royalty Free license.

Interesting that they started marketing the new program. I signed up just because of the affiliate program for now. 3D Studio Looks like they have about 6500 new members just this month.

What I saw was the "cars collection" Which may be something I could work into with some of my photos. Have to see what they have and what kind of materials. Maybe it will fall right into my interest area.

They seem very interesting, with some sales reported already. The traffic they have is high so I will dedicate time on this one over CutCaster and some of the other startups.
