Default Automating uploading to photobanks

Photobanks sell stock images, and they sell them well. Photographers shoot images, edit them and upload them to photobanks. No problem here.

However, there is a bottleneck in between. Every, and I mean EVERY photobank has an additional step that you have do "by hand" after the picture was uploaded. You have to go to the image's web page (at photobank web site), to verify all the information, to check the "yes, I agree" field, and to click "submit".

If you have many images to upload, it takes a lot of time.

To automate this task, as well as to have a fast and convenient way of editing images' meta info, I have created this solution.

Currently, only Fotolia, Crestock and DreamsTime are supported, but I am working on it.
Script is free: photo_script - Automating uploading to photobanks

If someone is using Linux I could share my shell script that uploads images to Fotolia, SS, DT and Bigstock (you could add any other site that offers ftp).

Yes, categorizing sucks. If there were are easier way to do it easier/faster, I'd be all over it like white on rice.

Default You misunderstood

You misunderstood. It is NOT a script for FTP uploading. It is for post-uploading, when you need to go through all images, one by one, clicking "yes, I agree".

I know what you meant - I wasn't talking about just FTP uploads. But you can't just push them all through if you have to attach model releases first...am I correct? Or is there a way to do that in your script?

Default Releases...

Releases will not be automatically uploaded, but this is only because I am mostly working with landscapes

As soon as I have time, I'll add this feature, alternatively, if the script becomes popular, someone else can add the feature and post an updatet version at scripts home page.

Default Version 6 available

Added FTP uploading. Now you can use the script to:

1. Scan directory with imeges, extract meta information
2. Edit meta information
3. Upload files to photobanks using FTP
4. Access images at photobank's pages, edit image info (keywords, categories...), and autosubmit them to photobank's editors.
