Good news, I can stop asking "when's the book coming out".

It's almost like the dust hasn't settled and Stock is changing as fast as you can print a book. New places opening, sites dropping out.

What are the planned, four books in the series?

Are the other three about bringing even more competition in against your colleagues?

Book 2 - " Shoot in JPEG, honestly, everyone else is wrong "

Book 3 - " I've been doing this for 60 years, honestly, everyone else is wrong "

Book 4 - " I'm doing this for you, I don't need the money, honestly, everyone else is wrong "

and there's a whisper that after those they may release

" Shutterstock - what went wrong "

" The adventures of Laurin and Dave. Part 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8 etc "

" I wish I'd bought Nikon, hang on I did, did I, I've got D6 or is it a D800, it might be a Canon "

and finally

" Laurin I can't shoot it if you keep eating it - and other food photography tips "

:-)

I don't understand why everyone else is making fun of someone whom does all of that only for the good of us. :-)

Don't worry I'm sure he'll see the funny side of it as intended.

At least I didn't mention his forthcoming book " One day I'll but some real trousers " :-)

Sounds very interesting laurin, I can't wait to have a look. I think there is a big enough market for a book on MS now... It gonna do pretty well I think.

Please do mention Talkmicro!

Competition is the least of my worries photographically .Sites that spend the money we make them opening up new markets is my biggest concern.

If ya really read me. I always said Shoot jpeg for stock and learn to get it right in camera. I shoot raw for everything else. Thats why they give you options on the camera. Also since I said these things Raw 14Bit images are definteley better and we have much better software to deal with them. The D3 Raw images are spectacular BTW.And I can actually see the difference on my Screens. But way overkill for RF stock.

Also, It's true i don't "need" the money.

Also, Only 45 years and sold my first "Stock" image in 1968.

Hope I never have to write what happened to Shutterstock, mainly for the sake of thousands of others.

The "Adventures of Laurin and dave" has just begun, we have Kauai coming up, then cruises, and many more workshops Planned across the country, In 2009 Im planning a 3 month motorhome trip with Nikon called "Nikon Across America", 3 more beginner books and then a master class series for Non stock people, A coffee table book Of stuff I've never nor will ever submit to stock. Also a complete tutorial set of DVDs covering every tip and trick I can find along with guest teachers on the art of Illustrations. All this has been in the works for 2 years. Wonder why I post so much? Now ya know.

Sold my D2X, Bought a D300, Had some issues and sold it in a week,Lost $500.00 Bought the D3. worth every penny. D3X coming up. sold all remaining film cameras including my friend , a Canham 11 X 14, probably gonna get the mimaya ZD

and finally

" Laurin I can't shoot it if you keep eating it - and other food photography tips "

SOOOOOOO True!! And now gotta figure out a way to get a Gin Client.
