I opted out for a few weeks, didnt notice much change...opted back in later March. Had a pretty decent month in April, so we'll see what happens.

Thanks Karimala for the advice on how to opt out of subscriptions.
However Sxp must have spies reading this site because now I can't access my files there--my user name and password are rejected. The must REALLY want to keep me in subscriptions.

How do you guys do at SXP? Since I opted out, it has been very slow. So I opt in again. Still slow.

8/10 sales today are sub sales. Similar numbers all week. I won't opt out, because I think that buyers will just look for similar images if they can't get mine on subs. One buyer on the SXP forum requested a way to view search results by sub-only, which leads me to believe that my theory may have merit.

I'm getting concerned that sub sales are cutting into our earnings.

My earnings are still on the rise since opting out on April 1.

I had a good start at SXP since I signed up in Feb. After I I opted out in April, my sales have come to an almost complete stop. Even though I opted in again at the end of April, there have only been 3 DLs for the month of May, including one $1 credit, and 2 subs.

Is it only me?

I opted out a few months ago and my sales were flat for 3 months. I opted back in in the beginning of April, and my sales went up (but April was a good month overall).

The number of my subscription sales is very low, so I don't think opting in or out does really have a strong effect.

I am much more interested about the next SXP project that is about to come out soon...

So far so good! Since opting out of subscriptions on April 1, I had my second month in a row of solid growth. May turned out to be my 2nd ranked BME. Before opting out my earnings were dropping like crazy, while the number of sales remained steady. I'm staying opted out in June, because it does seem to be helping.

I opted out about a month ago and May turned out to be my best month of the year. So I guess I'll stay opted out. An extra bonus is that there are only those nice dollar+ amounts on my sales results page. Makes me feel warm and fuzzy.

Thanks, Karimala, for the good example.
