No surprises there and despite all the platitudes I'd say sharpshot and many others will be wondering whats going to happen to their earnings. the whole venture was run on a shoestring budget tobegin but i feel more sorry for the contributors than this bryan guy or anyone els.

LO is my worst site and I'm still $4 away from the 1st payout, looks like it will never get there now.

Featurepics is the other site that is not moving at all.

I'm surprised that nobody is upset that LO takes away people's earnings. Is that legal? I thought you only loose your earnings if YOU quit, not when THEY quit.

If I can't take my money out, I have only lost $22.20. That is 1 EL sale on some sites. I am not going to cry about that. I did have several payouts from LO and I don't regret giving them a try.

I managed to get one payout... so I can't complain too much. I'm not really surprised that they're going under. There seems to have been almost no growth (in my sales at least) since mid-2007.

This makes me wonder if there are other sites on the verge of a similar fate....

People, it's not about the money, it's about sticking to the agreement. What anyone has earned should be paid out, even if it's a dollar. If we don't stick to that than no one would take us seriously and more and more agencies will start screwing up photographers.

Have they actually said they won't payout to contributors and refund to buyers or is everyone assuming that at this point? I closed my account about 2 months ago because of lack of sales. I only had $6.70 so I thought I'd lose it. However, they did indeed pay me. Maybe they have plans to pay everyone but haven't announced it yet. Or maybe they need the money to pay their bills.

I'm disappointed they didn't make it. I thought it was a unique site and had potential at first.

Next to go....?

Albumo!

The blog said if you want your money bad enough, send an e-mail to support.

Definitely sad news. I really enjoying reviewing at LO and working with Bryan and the team.

If they're closing down chances are they won't be able to pay out. Certainly not everybody.

I just tried again to download an image to use up a few credits and got
"Darn it! Skippy the Hamster is busy snacking when he should be in his wheel powering the server."
