This is important. It is very easy to find images, as they would be keyworded exactly the same and a search will yield the results very fast.

Yay! Another sale at Alamy this month: $200 for a single print for personal use.

And you got to love the approval time... about 24 hours now!

Go Alamy go!

Rock on, Christophe! :-) I'm slowly but surely building my portfolio, and the new approval times makes it soooooooooooo much easier to do it. I'm also loving my newfound freedom to shoot editorial again. The limits of RF micro was getting a bit stiffling. Got some great shots of a volunteer assisting my daughter with a voting machine for the disabled, and some others of her riding independently on the local light rail train with passengers in the background.

I'm not sure the Zooms work. I went online to see how the search, etc. worked and opened some of my images, but got no zoom. I had a friend do the same thing and no zooms.

I also don't agree with the ranking notion that if someone does a search and your image comes up but the buyer doesn't click on it, that there is something wrong with the image or the keywords, so you should be further down in the search. You are not only punished for people that are just browsing, but if the image just isn't what the buyer is looking for, that doesn't make it wrong or that you have incorrectly keyworded.

The sales are nice though.

For those of you that have sold images through Alamy, are you selling more RF, RM or a mixture of both? So far all I've submitted most of mine as RM (completely different images from what I have on micro) rather than RF. I'm wondering though if I'm shooting myself in the foot.

Only the zooms from previous buyers count.

50/50, but I sure hope to have one day a $10000 sale with RM

Alamy is still on my list of things to do...so far I have 4 images online. Pitiful. Once tax time is over and I have everything out of my hair it's the next on my list. Currently I've been having fun uploading (more like dumping) everything I have on Mostphotos and slowly working on Panthermedia & Snapvillage.
