Default Deleted my acc at LO

It was time. I said dec 12th was my one year mark. I made the payout for the second time. 31,400 views and 209 sales. People asked why. It was embarresing, thats all I can say.I gave it a year. Thats a long time. Good luck to those that just want a place to park your work. Not my cup of tea. Im dumping 2 more next month.

I was going to stop uploading at the end of the year if sales didn't increase but after the last thread about LO here, I have decided to stick with them. If it looked like the site was folding, I would get out but there is a lot of support for LO and I think they still have a chance of becoming a site worth uploading to. I do think that Bryan needs to find ways to attract buyers to the site and this is one area where they are failing at the moment.

I had a look at the history of some of the other sites using the wayback machine and LO are doing OK compared to the big sites after the same time. I know the market has changed but new sites with money like Snap Village and Albumo don't have many sales after their first 6 months.

LO is a long shot and I am probably wasting my time but it is the easiest site to upload to and I like the side show and hope that they continue to innovate in the future.

I'm sorry to see you go, Laurin.

LuckyOliver isn't for everyone. For folks like me, it's perfect, because I really enjoy creating web content beyond my photos (I've been known to add recipes and location info to my comments section, and develop ideas based on my photos there for buyers on designer-based sites). But for others who don't enjoy or find value in that sort of thing, it's easy to understand the frustration and desire to move on to greener pastures.

Fortunately, nothing says you can't return when things improve.

Karin
Did they get the bugs fixed from the weekend? I have not been told if it is fixed and if I have to reupload all my images that Sybille rejected. I'm alittle disappointed in lack of info given me after the incicent.

I don't know, Nancy. There aren't any updates other than what I posted in another thread. Also...I broke my leg last week and haven't been able to keep up with much in general, so I might have missed something.

Ouch! sorry to hear that Karin. Wish you were closer as I need some images of people needing assistance for this week's FT (informal) competition thread :-) Hope you heal quickly

Even though I emailed Karin, now that you mention it, there could be some stock photos in this, and she's her own model for "break a leg" :-D

Good luck and hope you heal fast!

Don't forget to ask for a witness, you never know... who knows if a site believes you photographed your own leg... and on top of that there needs to be a witness.

Patrick.

Hi Karin, sorry to hear about your injury. It must be very difficult for you because you have this extra responsibility to your disabled daughter too.

Rest well and recover quickly. There will be many other days to shoot fabulous photos! We look forward to seeing them.
