Default Not planning on going anywhere

At the beginning of each year I tend to re-organize and put my house in order again. I am coming to the end of the year where I now see that the stock business is working for me. I was wondering how the rights to your photos work if you were to die

Do they rights go to your family and can they continue to sell them? I am going to meet with a lawyer in the beginning of the year. Just wanted to know if any of you know. Or if there is something more specific I should do to make sure my family can continue to benefit from all my work.

I know you can transfer ownership of your images. The gray area is whether companies will honor that transfer. Some sites have a strict policy about the person selling the images being the creator of the images, not just the owner.

Hypothetically, I would imagine that if someone dies and wills image rights to their spouse, that spouse can legally take over the stock accounts and receive payments. The only complication would come from either trying to change the name on the accounts, or whether or not a company takes issue with images rights being transferred.
