Default Albumo - anything happening yet

Is anyone getting any sales (or views) on Albumo yet?

It's dead for me. Views have literally stopped too. I'm getting DLs everywhere else including SnapVillage.

Looks like their "beginning marketing at around 200K images" was BS. They've been well over 200K images for months.

Just 2 downloads for me. I don't understand why they have paid us to upload but now they are not attracting buyers. It must be costing them a lot of money.

Has anyone had an email form them lately? The first few months, I had a monthly update but I haven't seen anything since.

I do get some views. Not that I was planning to actually sell anything over there, anyway.

They have not actually paid us to upload - they are crediting our accounts but we cannot claim the money until/unless we reach the minimum payout so we don't actually have any money there unless they sell images.

This IMO makes the 400 day lock in period inadmissible unless they pay us the money and not just show it in the accounts.

Well, if you uploaded at least 1'000 photos, then it's pretty obvious, isn't it?

Had an email from them:-

Where you can buy high-quality, Legally protected images for less then $1. Register now! Buy Now! Enjoy being on Albumo!
Dear Albumo Customer

It?s been a long time since we have written you! We apologize for that. At Albumo, we try and give updates as often as necessary. Nevertheless, we have so many new things to tell you about, but some things aren`t quite ready - Look for another announcement email in couple of weeks! Ok, now on to what we can talk about:

First, because we are growing so quickly we have contracted to add additional programmers to our Albumo Team. As the result, we?ve been concentrating our efforts around the speed and effectiveness of our website. This is an ongoing upgrade that will benefit us through June of 2008!

Second, as projected at our opening last spring, we were able to fill our Albumo?s 100 Program with excellent artists. As of now, the program is locked only to those who were able to become one of lucky 100! For the rest of you ? don?t be discouraged, more promotions are on the way; and YES we are developing our ranking system, so all Albumo artists will have an opportunity to reach desired status.

Finally, we are close to finishing development of Albumo account system, which should benefit the selling artists and the buying customers alike.

Aside from that:

Albumo is well over 300,000 stock images.
* We successfully added Albumo News RSS feed, which is accessible through your Albumo account.
* We are scheduling major search engine upgrade, which should be available in early 2008.
* Main task for the entire Albumo Team - Promoting, Promoting, Promoting!
We are happy to be working for our vibrant community of Albumo artists, and we are thankful to everyone who contributed to Albumo during 2007.

We hope you have a wonderful Holiday Season, and we wish you only best in upcoming 2008!

Thanks,
Albumo Team

Completely dead. They did pay me to upload what is there so far, but won't upload anymore after 12/31 unless something starts moving.

BTW, I have just checked and I have managed to sell one photo on Albumo! :-)

That's pretty impressive, all considering... :-)
