Default RM Question

I understand the difference between RM and RF (at least I think I do), however there are a couple of things about RM that I'm not sure about. If I put an image up for sale as RM on one site, can it also be uploaded to other sites as RM to increase it's exposure? Or am I stuck with the first site I select for that particular image? Also, I'm pretty sure I can sell something as RM but also put it up for sale on my own site as a fine art print, but I'm not positive about that. Does anyone know for sure?

RM implies that you are managing the rights to an image. You can market that image in as many places as you want, but if a buyer wants to license that image for use (as an example) exclusively in the U.S. for ten years, then you need to be able to restrict it's use so that nobody else licenses that image in the U.S. for the next 10 years.

If the image is not licensed exclusively, then you can license it as many times as you want in any region you want.

At any given time, you should be able to easily retrieve the history of that image (where it has been licensed in the past, where it is being licensed currently, etc.) so that if a buyer is interested, you can provide that information.

Thank you. That's very helpful. I think staying organized will be the biggest challenge. I started to keep detailed information about my RF micro images, but that turned into a big hassle. Now I just upload to the sites I belong to and basically forget about them. I don't track acceptances or rejections.

RM is an entirely different ballgame so I'm going to have to come up with a better plan. :?
