Default Snapvillage doing any business?

Backed by Corbis, owned by Bill Gates, and with all the functionality of a Sloth on benzo's, has anyone made any money from this Godforsaken, overhyped behemoth?

4 sales so far but they haven't even launched the site properly yet, so I don't expect anything. Are there any sites that have instantly got everything right? I don't know any. The sites that are doing well now have taken years to get going. istock were giving away images for free for a long time when they started. Have a look at the archives:-

According to Alexa the page views of Snap are a tiny percentage of even LO. So why bother with Snap?
I think we're most disappointed with Snap because of the massive potential. Snap is not some guy in a bathrobe. So when is the beta ending? I'm hoping to hear from them soon about when they're going to do SOMETHING. Untll then my 16 images on the site will continue to be lonely.

I've had three downloads this week. Not sure if that's a fluke or not but I wasn't expecting any downloads until they're out of Beta.

Are these subscription or individual image sales? I've got about 50 photos up... no sales yet.

Mine are individual sales. I'm opted out of subscriptions for now.

Yes I've also opted out of subscriptions at SlapperTown. I think it would be an insult to the likes of SS to allow subscriptions at SlapperTown when they have failed to invest properly or even get the site running smoothly. It's important to recognise what side one's toast is buttered.

I've made two sales. All my stuff is priced at $10 which is higher than equivalent at other agencies. Once again - if SV wants to play in this market that HAVE TO PROVE IT.

And the evidence so far is that they are lukewarm, inexperienced and seem to think microstockers are holiday snappers who take pictures with mobile phones......

I've had three downloads this month, all subscription.
I'm also thinking about opting out of subscription. The money is too low to bother with it.
What amazes me most is the fact that it seems to take forever to get a functional upload procedure?? I have experienced smaller sites put up a fuctional FTP-system in weeks. This one is backed up from the big boys and they cannot get a proper upload in months and months. They haven't even fixed the buggy present webtool. I can upload 1 batch out of 4 without getting errors and have to start all over again.
It is like there is only one person working over there and he is busy updating their blog every two months.......

I have wondered if they have done this on purpose. If they had functional FTP, they would probably have 2 million uploaded images to wade through by now. By making it hard to upload, they can build the site at a sensible pace. Anyone who really wants their portfolio on the site can just send them a DVD. How difficult is that?
