Default Lets talk Featurepics.

I really love this site, I've said so many times and of all of them I want this to work. Downloads seem to be getting thinner and thinner? anyone else.

Yeah, worse month this year for me. Jun-Aug were the best, but not enough to make a difference. I really like the site. When I started there, I thought that it would be a great place to let the market drive the prices, but sales aren't consistent enough to get a read.

I've been averaging about $10/mo. there at $10 each. So for me it's a bit better than Lucky Oliver and WAY better than SnapVillage (if they're still in business).
I only have a few hundred images there and the view numbers aren't too bad but very few takers.
I put it in the "wait n' see" category with a bunch of other sites.

My wait-and-see list is getting pretty long these days.

There are a few sites that I've had high hopes for, including Featurepics and SnapVillage among others, but none have panned out so far. I've stopped uploading to any of the up-and-comers until they actually break through and show greater signs of life.

I have had 2 sales this month making $9.98 and I had a few cents from a referral. $0.97 short of my first payout. This is the slowest site I have uploaded to but makes more per sale than any of the others. It is one of the easiest to upload to, so I will keep uploading and hope they can increase sales in the future.

yeah, same story for me.

Fp has allways been slow for me but with only a tiny portfolio there I do continue to get regular sales with them.

It was obvious that they have worked very hard to make FP work and they are doing pretty well considering i dont think they had much in the way of financial backing when compared with their competitors!

Laurin, I think it'd be much more up-front to preface your question with; "I'm thinking of dumping them" because reading between the lines, that's where a lot of people are at the moment with FP.

Admittedly, there was a surge of enthusiasm for them initially but that hasn't proved sustainable and like every other relationship, the honeymoon period is now over.

Me personally, I want a divorce!

I agree.

Today I have started my quest to get out of the following: 123rf, Dreamstime, Featurepics, Crestock, Lucky Oliver, Bigstockphoto. Since I did get out of Fotolia weeks ago already.

No problems with 123rf, as I have been able to delete all my photos. No problems with LO either, same as above. Crestock seems cooperative. Dreamstime does not want to cooperate and they want to keep photos online for six months from upload, offline for one year. Haven't contacted Bigstockphoto yet, although I guess they are going to be as painful as Dreamstime. So, if I was going to be born again, I would avoid Dreamstime and Bigstockphoto right from the beginning. featurepics I have asked them how to delete my photos and account. I hope they are more like Crestock, rather than Dreamstime.

Since I have invested a long time uploading to FP I will have to wait to get my first payment and then delete the whole thing. Very nice people, very nice intentions, but no sales and that is the bottom line.

WOW. Who's left? I wonder why you don't just let your images lay there and ferment. Like fine wine. Seems like a lot of work to delete them all. Maybe something good will come of one of those sites. Maybe. Hope. Hope.
