New problem with SX
Reviewers finally got around to my batches. Just got a note from them, "Hi there, Can you please upload property releases for buildings and residences?"
I responded that property releases for houses and generic buildings shot from public areas, i.e. the street have never needed releases on this or any other site and that if that was a requirement, then they would have to reject those images.
Not sure if this is misinformation or a new rule at SX. I have around 1,000 architecture type images in my port, and they are some of my best sellers.

Yeah same problem here; I have some shots inside an airport, in a mall, and even just a swimming pool, all accepted everyhwere, all rejected with SXP because of missing property release. I wonder if they had recently an incident where someone tried to sue them over a picture where you could recognize a private property, hence the drastic rule change?

Never mind. After stumbling through their tedious folders, I realize, they rejected every image they reviewed, 90-100 images submitted over the last 4 weeks in the toilet. The ones they didn't review I assume are waiting for property releases. Property releases for houses, boats, a chimney, etc.
That's it for me, they barely produce above Canstock level. As soon as I reach next payout, I'll delete my port and leave them. Not worth the trouble. They've been screwy ever since their one reviewer took a vacation and threw the review process into the toilet for months. Then they pull people off of tech support to review and things start breaking.
I've suffered through the aggravation at Fotolia and Istock because the money outweighed the problems, but SX has been almost dead flat for 5 months. Now I have nothing to sell there since middle Sept.
Sorry to vent, but that was the last straw.

Yeh...their rejections have been really screwy lately. I had this one rejected for "unsuitable background."
Huh?
But overall, my rejection rate is still fairly stable, although there has been an increase. I haven't seen any of the mass rejections others are experiencing. And my sales have gone up substantially the past couple of months while SS and IS continue their rapid decline.
Have you tried creating your own folder system at SXP to help with organization? I have folders for all of my subjects (including an archive of all rejections), and then as the briefcase photos are approved, I moved them over and delete the briefcase folder. I also discovered after an accidental deletion that if you delete a briefcase folder containing photos, the photos are automatically moved to the Home folder. Definitely helps so you don't have to wade through all those folders, like at SS (goodness, I wish they would make their system easier!!!).

Maybe the thought the background was unsuitable because the sky isn't blue on their planet.
My rejections used to be slightlly worse than DT, IS, and SS which I judge to be the standard. I could live with that - they wat what they want. And they frequently took stuff that SS didn't want.
Since the reviewer went on vacation and this whole mess began, I have only had two review sessions. In both cases, over a month of uploads reviewed in two quick shots. The first one doubled my normal rejection rate. This one, between the total rejects and wanting property release for a rowboat, I don't see much hope. Steve keeps saying it's getting better, but it's just not - at least for me.
There was a recent thread on their site where an admin stated that the split reviews into two groups, oldest first and alphabetical to speed things up. Huh? Alphabetical? How does that speed things up unless your name starts with an A. Apparently, they got to the Ds today.

Same here, 95% of images rejected recently with the result that I haven't bothered uploading since.
Despite reassurances from Steve that this wouldn't happen again it would appear they're still throwing banana's to some in-house primate.
Problem is, now that they've moved to a subscription based model they're going to need a lot more fresh images, so it'll be interesting to see how long this latest spate of madness lasts.

I personally opted out for the subscription model; since they tried to throw that in a hurry a lot of areas in the site are broken: model release, total amount not matching the actual amount earned, missing subscription commission, thumbnails processing for ever...
I wish they would have kept the site the way it was few months ago...

I don't' think it was the subscription. If you read between the lines on posts from Steve and the admins, I think the pulled people of tech support to do reviews. Which explains both problems.

You must have taken a day off from TM, Laurin. Please don't take the deletion personally.
Doug posted the info after I deleted your thread and a discussion ensued about the pros and cons of posting that kind of info. I explained that I deleted it after learning SXP had corrected the breach, and that I always do that when it comes to sensitive info after a reasonable amount of time, corrected or not. I'm not comfortable leaving sensitive info about security breaches on the board for all potential abusers to find. My job here is to protect contributors, too.
I left a note that was supposed to replace the thread, so everyone knew about the correction, but for some reason it didn't post. Admins are given several options for how to delete, and I guess I did it wrong. I'll go hide out in the admin area and practice until I know what I'm doing.
It also looks like the second thread was deleted by another admin this morning, probably because of the concerns addressed in the thread.
