Ive noticed in the past that some of the search engines on some of the sites order by popularity, images with more downloads can sell better than a later image that better.
I uploaded one just to see how it worked. I wasn't impressed. Beta was intended as a final test before release, not rush to market with crap before it's ready.
I think some companies are mixing up alpha and beta stages (or maybe I have it wrong). I thought Beta was meant to be all but final. Not we have the bare bones up and will improve it when we get time.
As it stands, the site is an unholy mess and a complete waste of time!
And the irony is, the whole thing is owned by Bill Gates according to reports!?!
You'd think with his unlimited resources that at the very least he'd have a spent some money on it before dumping this sort of rubbish on the photographic community.
I'd expect this level of functionality from some teenage wannabe working out of his back bedroom but not from a company the size of Corbis.
