Default 123rf down?

I was uploading some vectors to 123rf this afternoon (friday) and it stalled. When I tried to re-access it, it didn't work. It's been like 8 to 10 hours since it happened and I still can't access it. Anyone else?

Thanks for any comment.

Antonio

Thanks.

I still can't access it, though... may be a network branch that is down or something.

Im telling ya, I made payout after 6 months. which I do every 3 days at SS. I e-mailed them and demanded my money NOW! The min it's in my account. Bye, Bye. Dont you guys ever think about "Cost effectiveness" If this is a hobby or you dont care and have nothing else to do, I understand But, C-mon. Theres at least 3 new players coming soon with lots of money to play. forget these loser sites. My 30 cents. Theres a few other Wanna be sites that are just sitting there, Doing Charts and graphs telling us to Hold on. For every 20 images I download to a Bullshit ,No sales site, I could take 25 more Pictures and make money on them. Funny I had 14 sites going at one time. Im down to 4 and make even more money. It's about putting energy were it counts. Sorry for the rant. Laurin

It didn't take me much time or energy to upload to 123. I can upload while doing other work, so I don't see that as any waste of time. I think that the money made will be very cost effective. I want to have at least one payout a month with them one day. After my first few weeks with a large portfolio, that looks like it will be possible. There are much worse sites out there that I wouldn't waste time on.

As my portfolio grows larger, earnings at the smaller sites are starting to take on more and more significance. I would be foolish not to submit to them, especially since I earn my living almost entirely from microstock. If I had a regular day job or other sources of income, I might not bother, but as it stands now I can't afford to sit around and wait for Corbis or any other potential big player to show up. I have to use what's available today.

I get a payout every month with them. The upload process is painless. There's no reason not to do it. As Stephen says, I can do other things while uploading. It is cost effective for me. There are sites with much worse results that I'll leave first and others I'll never try.

If and when those big players com into play, I'll put that in the equation. Until then, 123rf is on my top 6.

I can think of 5 sites that are really worth uploading to... SS, IS, DT, SXP and FT... I wonder which one of these you left, Rinder?

I left 123 about a year ago after nearly a year of no downloads. Canstock also. In retrospect I probably should have stayed and continued to upload all my images to all my stock sites, even those. This industry has so many ups and downs and new players that I'd probably be better off just keeping my images everywhere and concentrate on taking new stuff. Who knows when a site will take off or be acquired with lots of bucks behind it? Besides, it takes a lot of time to remove images and even more time to carp about their poor performance. I'll even stay with LO even though they're running about 1% of my revenue.

None. I guess just different strokes for different folks. and what you think your time is worth and what your expenses are.Simple math.

3?? Corbis is obviously one but what are the other 2. Getty and Jupiter already have their own sites. Google and flickr(yahoo) maybe?

I get a payout in less than 6 months with a lot less and a lot worse photos than you. And it is effort less to upload to (ftp in the background) unless it doesn't ready the IPTC data.

It is a keeper at the moment due to the ease of use.
