StockXpert Question : New Files, No Visits

Hello Everyone,

I have noticed something happening with my portfolio at SXP and, before I raise the question in their forums, I'd like to know if anyone else is experiencing the same.

I noticed that the new images (uploaded this month or so) have no visits. I find it rather strange because even sites with a lot less traffic have some visits to new files. It's even weirder when the same files are having good results on the other big sites.

The sales are on par with my best month ever (April) and SXP is my 3rd best site right now but I can't understand why there are no views on the new images. Also, most sales (say 80%) come from my best sellers or (the remaining 20%) from older files.

I checked keywords and everything seems fine. Anyone else noticing this?

Yip, have the same problem. At first I thought it was just my crappy images but then I started to wonder;-)

Someone har just started a thread about it on the SXP forum.

Same here... SXP is my #3 earner, but new pictures don't get any view for a few weeks.

I tried to search on some of the keywords and they were showing up, so that's pretty weird.

This is spooky, I have just noticed the same thing, my most recent three pages of my portfolio have no views.

I have pictures as new as 5 days old showing views. One uploaded 5/23 has 16 views.

Weird anomoly, and seems to not be affecting me at the moment.

Same problem here. I heard they tweaked the search engine and right about the same time is when I noticed my new photos weren't getting any views.

Same here. However I did notice that this month my income doubled on StockXperts. I checked to see what photos were selling and notice they were some of my older files. It seems like it takes some weeks or months for them to kick in.

I also notice that on IS too. After my photo's are approved it takes a good month to six weeks for them to start selling. I would have photos that was approved and for a month to six weeks do nothing, than with in a matter of weeks it would have anywhere from 40 to 60dl

The only site I notice where my photo's get approved and start selling or being viewed immediately is SS

Even on SS it takes about 24 hrs between approval and selling to start. I have not noticed the same thing on IS. It does tend to start slowly but I recently had a new file that got approved and within 6 week is close to 200 downloads, so it must have shown somewhere...

On stockxpert definitely there seems to be a big gap between customers seeing the files (or not sure how there new search routine works.. Surely you wouldn't people to only see older files??) and the approval

My income is up slightly for the month, but currently in the worst slump of no sales I've had in over 2 months. Acceptance rate has actually gone up, so I don't know if it's the new search or random

I am glad to see this thread. Like some of you, I also wondered, 'Is it me? Is it something I did?' My last dozen or so images on SXP also have a long list of '0' - goose eggs - for views. My popular older images continue to sell ok.

When did the above-mentioned search engine tweaks go into effect?

But if the culprit were search-engine issues, woudn't that affect old images as well as newer?

Maybe it is something to do with buyers not looking at the latest images for some reason?
