Default Calendar

In the bar at the top is a 'Calendar', Karin (Karimala) and myself have been entering any dates we may feel are relevant to the stock industry, ie Public Holidays, National days, Memorative days etc etc.

If you think we've missed any feel free to add them.

Richard is covering the UK and I'm covering the US. If you live in or are familiar with holidays in any of the other major stock-purchasing countries (Canada, Germany, France, etc.), please feel free to add them to the calendar. :-)

I've also added major events sponsored by the stock houses, such as Bobby Deal's seminar, the iStockalypse next weekend, and will add LO's Ballyhoo's as dates become available.

Wow, that´s a great tool - and explains the slow downloads these days - thanks for the work you´ve put in there.

Great tool!! That helps to keep an eye out for those events or to understand why downloads all of a sudden stop... Does Holland qualify as an important stockbuying country? If so I can add the Dutch public holidays...

Great idea! I think it would be great to have all the holidays from around the world in there - the internet is always available for buying all over the world.

Of course it does, every country is important. Another aim of this exercise is too give people ideas for what to shoot, maybe Holland has an important historic event coming up that we could create images for.

Feel free to add your dates, if you have any problems with the calendar PM Karimala :-)

I just posted that Oct. 8 is the Thanksgiving Day for Canada. Somehow I set the time wrong so it covers two days until Oct. 9. I don't know how to correct the mistake. Perhaps the Moderators can help? Thanks.

You might want to include in the note about Columbus Day (for the U.S.) that most Native American peoples do NOT celebrate and, in fact, protest, this holiday - as Columbus is viewed as an invader, rather than a discoverer for those with Native American heritage.
