I don't think it's a good idea to politicize the note, because it's still an important day for Italian-Americans. If we add something about Native Americans and their protest, we risk offending European Italians and Italian-Americans. The calendar is only meant to inform folks why there might be a drop in sales on a particular date, and the day is still recognized by the Federal Government by the name of "Columbus Day."

What I would be willing to do is add "American Indian Heritage Day" and "Native American Day," because some states recognize those instead of Columbus Day. Fair enough?

So, newbie question--

Generally, how far ahead of a particular holiday should you submit images? For example, if I've got photos for the 4th of July, when should I be putting them in to the micro agencies? I'm guessing it might depend on the holiday, but is there a general rule of thumb?

Thanks!

Columbus was Italian, although he "invaded" America for Spain. Italy, as a country, has never had anything to do with American continent. Also because it did not exist at the time. It is only in the 19th century that Italy became a country. Previously it was split into little kingdoms.
