Default Is 123RF viable?

Just curious about your experiences with this micro and your thoughts on its viability.

At this point, I'm not sure I'll bother with anymore uploads...I still have an upload pending from 4/20....is this normal for these guys?

I keep uploading there because it's so easy. But that's really the only reason at this point. Sales are pretty dismal (although I did have my first EL the other day), and I expect more from a company owned by a large stock company.

Approval times vary from contributor to contributor. Mine are currently running between 1 to 5 days. I'm not sure if they are still doing this, but there were assigning contributors to reviewers, so if you get one who is on vacation or doesn't review often, you have to wait.

I only started uploading two months ago, despite all the negative comments from others on this forum. My images are usually reviewed within a day or two and ftp uploading is really easy.

And I've sold more there in two months than on Lucky Oliver and BigStock since before Xmas. So I'll keep uploading for a while longer yet.

I?m now in stock photography for over 2 months. Apart from the big 5, 123rf is my best seller, and brings me around 12x the money that featurepix and Lucky Oliver bring me.
I really wonder what I am doing wrong at featurepix. 2 DLs in 2 months. In the same time I had 1300 DLs on istock (with a much smaller portfolio). and 3400 on shutterstock.

Considering how easy it is to upload and that the payout is now at US$50, I can see no reason not to upload.

I am now uploading to them. It takes no time, as the files are all ready to go and I upload in the background while doing other work. Starting to get some sales but I don't have huge expectations.

So weird... I have 702 images with them and get a payout every month now. Thanks to an EL we're half way into May and I got to the payout already.

If you took the time to upload, why will you take your images down instead of letting them on sale? Just trying to understand.

Cheers,

Antonio

I'm hanging in there. Hit the $100 payout a couple of times so far, now that it's only $50 is even better yet - and like everyone said, if you embed your IPTC data, it's a piece of cake to upload to them.
