Default Ok so who has done this !

Set off to the girlfriends for the weekend.I had picked a walk specifically for it's photogenic qualities rather than my usual oomph factor.Pulled out the camera for the first shot,No cf card in camera..Aargh ! I had left it in the card reader in the pooter, and the other one was on the mantle..doh.

I drove to the nearest town and found a camera shop, they wanted ?114 for a 1gb card  I just bought a 2gb a while ago for ?38.

Lesson learnt hopefully,no shots this weekend

It's amazing how much i missed it,like the old saying you don't realise what you have till it's gone.We saw a kestrel up really close too, i have been itching to get a shot of one hovering for ages.Maybe next time.

Well, I have't quite done that - but walked for over an hour to a place I wanted to shoot, then couldn't figure out why the camera wouldn't work - the battery was still in the charger on the kitchen counter

Yeah, so did I. Gotta tell ya, I felt pretty darn stupid standing there. Taught me a lesson though - now I go through my backpack - every nook a cranny and check everything in it before I go out.

Lol,

What a pain!

I know I would do it if I didnt leave the card in the camera most of the time.

Im sure you will get another chance to get that kestrel.

Aye ,no doubt. They are pretty common so it's a case of right place right time. Got some shots of a pair of peregrine falcons that are nesting on Malham cove the other week, that was pretty cool.
