Default Software: Image Composite Editor

Just found a very useful free panoramic stitching software from Microsoft. You can read more about it on my blog at:

There were some messages lost in the recent reset. I like this software which stitches and blends multiple images. Beats anything I could ever do manually.

Kolor Autopano AutoPano Pro - Panorama stitching software - Panoramic photo software - image stitching It's also supposed to do HDR stitching from bracketed shots. I don't do that, so I wouldn't know. Really cool demo on the site.

Here's one I shot during a lunch break and then rendered. I'm leaving out the details until a few people get to see the photo and possibly comment on what they think.

Shot with a G6 and I left the railing because it's fun. I wouldn't expect anything could blend 180 degrees like this with objects 1 foot away to the clouds. I'm the shadow of a person standing at the top of the grandstand.

Websize version above, the original is 13.5MB and 11310 x 5037.

Have you done any HDR with it? Does it match as it blends? Toss me a bone on the settings.

The canon program, the one that came with my Powershot also works great - I actually prefer it to the Photoshop CS3 feature. I'll have to try out this microstock version.

Who needs a fisheye lens!? haha just take 20 images and stitch them.

Never tried HDR and I just use the standard settings. Sometime I have to fiddle around to straighten the horizon. It does a great job of matching as it blends. Why not try the demo version? I bought it after about 10 minutes.
