Here is another story about Dell, if you are interested.
I bought a brand new Dell notebook exactly three years ago. Within a few months, the power jack plug was loose so it lost power whenever I moved the notebook. As a result, the battery died quickly.
Then the connection between LCD and mother board was not working. I sent it back to Dell for repair, they only repaired the LCD and didn't repair the power jack. I needed to use the notebook so I didn't send it in for repair until the warranty expired.
In the second year, the fan was broken, and the LCD went completely black when I turned it on. Because it was out of warranty, I took it to a store. The store charged me $90 and said it could not repair it.
Finally I paid a competent technician to get it repaired.
Then the CD-Rom could not read any data.
A few days before Christmas this year, the notebook made a lot of noise, then I could not turn it on again. The technician told me, the hard drive was completely dead, and the laser head of the CD is broken. He is trying to retrieve the data in the old hard drive, but I still don't know if the data, including my photos, can be recovered.
I haven't uploaded any photos in the last week.
I have had a few computers, none has had any hardware problems.
Do you think I will buy from Dell again?
Happy New Year!
