Default lightroom users?

Ive been told by a few people recently that Adobe Lightroom is really good for processing raw images and image workflow.

Does anyone have any first hand experience of this as i am currently using the bundled canon software - Imagebrowser. it seems somewhat limiting when it comes to processing.

I use it and love it. I've been told that Adobe Bridge in CS3 has many of the same features, but I can't say for sure since I have yet to upgrade from CS2. Much of the time I can do everything I need to do to an image in Lightroom and never have to open PS. I really like the organizaiton capabilities of Lightroom too.

I love it too. I always use it and still opening after in CS 3 to finalize if necessary.

I have been using Lightroom since B4, now at v 1.1. I find the workflow is excellent. I can apply copyright and global keywords on the way in, also minimal processing. I can review images quickly and decide which ones are even worth processing. I then do all global work (levels, curves, WB, etc. on the raw image in LR. Most images are then ready for export as jpegs to my Stock Photo folder and submission. If I need to clone to delete a logo, etc. I can ship the image directly to PS, for that or anthing which needs local touch-up, masking etc. If you choose the Photo/Edit in CS3 option (not export), it generates a .tif, so there is no multi-jepeg. Then Process in PS and save as jpeg in your folder for Stock Photos. I still have the original raw available for any other purpose I wish to put it to.

I am just getting to grips with it now, Ive got some tutorials from youtube!

It does give much more freedom when processing over the bundled canon stuff. i am going to have to stop myself getting carried away!
