Default Tamron SP AF17-50mm F/2.8 XR Di II LD Aspherical [IF]

Hi,

I needed a sharp landscape lens, but also one i could use for portrait/studio shoots, so ...
Just ordered this Tamron lens "SP AF17-50mm F/2.8 XR Di II LD Aspherical [IF]" today. It's been getting very good reviews on several sites.
Cost : 419 euro (approx 520 dollar) Promotion price.

The sigma equivalent is 499 euro (approx 620 dollar), and the Nikkor equivalent 1665 euro (approx 2000 dollar) over here in europe, belgium.
After reading a comparison test amongst those three i went for the Tamron.

Anyone over here got some personal experience with this little gem.?.

Patrick.

I'm using the Tamron on my 30d, I liked the reviews and it is much cheaper than a Canon "L" lens. It seems to be very good, I don;t see any flaws in my images, except maybe from my own mistakes.
